Hey There!

Welcome to The Weathered Loft LLC. I am Cody Harvey, Owner & Founder.

What We Are About

My family and I live in South East Michigan where my wife, daughter, and I call our little farm, home. We originally opened up The Weathered Loft LLC back in 2017 as an online Farmhouse décor store. We then decided to open a brick and mortar store in 2018 which we closed due to my wife's health. We decided to take a break for a bit on the store and concentrate on family and the farm. In the mist of the time we were down with the store, we sold our home and moved to my wife's family farm where our daughter is the 7th generation farmer. With my wife's health still being an issue everyday, it was the plan to be closer to family and so our daughter could enjoy the farm life more... which she sure has. With some of the funds of selling our home we decided to start rescuing horses from kill pens and bad situations. We so far to this day have rescued/saved 8 horses (6 which have been from kill pens... aka slaughter bound horses that get shipped to either Mexico or Canada to be processed for meat). It has been a big undertaking for us in all aspects, but it has been so rewarding to know we have been helping these horses. We have kept all but two of them. The two that we did rehome, we rehomed together and still get updates to this day from the wonderful couple that has them. A percentage of all purchases goes toward the farm and helping out the animals here at the farm and hopefully we can make a difference for many more.

Making a Change

Our daughter has inspired me to make the change to our store. We have decided to give The Weathered Loft LLC a new look and a new face. She has been, at only 11 doing her own thing with making her creations to help support the rescues here at the farm (www.facebook.com/theharveyherdcreations) and giving back to them as well.

Meet Minni Winnie

Our daughter even funded her own rescue just recently of a young blind pony (our Minni Winnie). We couldn't be more proud of her. So therefor WE wanted to make the change and re-brand The Weathered Loft.

Farm Life

Our love for this lifestyle and our animals, we have decided instead of doing just farmhouse décor, we would change it up since now we find it hard to find a good place to shop for it to be all in one place. We want to dabble in bits of it all for you. From still the farmhouse style we were to adding in western style décor, we are adding in gifts like a boutique style feel but also since our daughter is big in to barrel racing/rodeos and riding horses along with her friends, that we we would also offer tack and items along those areas. We are going to try and give you all a new experience of that western feel but keep some of that farmhouse feel too. We are always finding new styles and if there is something specific that you are trying to find or need help finding, we are always happy to try to help.
